About the event
The Junior Illustrator's Guild is a free Art Club for preteens and teenagers (ages 13 to 17). Hosted by Inkspitter Studio's, Jessica Ann Nunno. She is the owner of Inkspitter Studio, a freelance illustrator a teaching artist and a storyteller by nature.
This art club meets once a month at Inkspittter Studio, Studio 1055 in Lowe Mil Arts & Entertainment in Huntsville, AL. During the monthly event the attendees can socialize with other artists their age. Share their artwork amongst themselves. Work on provided prompts and be issued monthly challenges. As well as participate in an ongoing 6 foot long group illustration.
In order to attennd a Junior Illustrator's Guild in person meeting you must fill out an RSVP. The RSVP will ask for the members name (the teen) and for the parents email address. You will also be asked if you have filled out a Junior Illustrator's Guild Permission Form. This only has to be filled out once, but it must be filled out to attend the first meeting. This form gives Jessica all the contact and important information she needs as well as it being a liability form. On this form you can also request Discord server access to the Junior Illustrator's Guild Server.
The art club is diverse, all inclusive and non biased. Preteens and teenagers are welcome here no matter their personal beliefs. All that we ask is that we do not talk about our specific religious or politcal beliefs. This is something Jessica requires from all of her students in any class she teaches.
It is required because the members of this art club are minors that a permission form be filled out by a parent or guardian. This will also provide emergency contact information should the need arise.
Attendees must bring their own sketchbook and supplies they wish to use while attending the club to work on prompts and other art challenges in. A new art challenge will be issued at every in persn meeting, with the past challenge being due. Supplies for the 6 foot long group illustration will be provided.
You must RSVP online to attend the monthly meeting. This ensures space for everyone who wants to attend, that the permission for has been filled out and that the event itself wil be held. If there are no RSVP's the monthly meeting will be canceled. All RSVP's are required by the Friday, the night before the monthly meeting.
The meeting is 2 hours long and starts at 6 PM. Atteneedes may arrive 5 minutes early this is when those attending will be let in. Arriving any early will disrupt the set up process and anything else Jessica may be taking care of in the studio. Attendees must be picked up promptly when the meeting ends at 8 PM. It should be known that the meeting starts when Lowe Mill is open to the public. However the Mill closes at 7 PM which means the ouside doors will automatically lock. When the meeting ends at 8 PM please come to Door 2 to pick up the attendees.
Jessica looks forwarding to hosting this meeting every month. And, as a reminder there is a 24/7 Discord Server available to the attendees/ members. An invite link is required for you to get into the Discord Server. Which you will recieve when you fill out the permission form as long as you request Discord access on the form.
