Service Description

Art Education Group Class Character Design Tuesday's 6 to 8 PM (16 hours total of class time) Dates of Class: June 4, June 11, June 18, June 25, July 2, July 9, July 16, July 23 Class Cost: $200 Suitable for Middle School, High School and Adults **This class can be taken by anyone ages 12 and up, this includes middle schoolers, high schoolers and adults. At this point the motor skills it takes to draw have been fully developed and middle schoolers, high schoolers and adults can be taught the same set of skills. Everyone is always at a different starting point when it comes to drawing and you see this often in group classes. This class is suitable for beginners within that age range.** Class Description: Learn the fundamentals of Character Design. These include - shape language, silhouette's, model/ style sheets and the development of the characters personality and backstory. All essential components in making a character your audience can connect with. Come out of the class with a well rounded character you can use for your stories. **It is highly recommended that you take the Figure Drawing Class or any Anatomy Class being offered. Having a fundamental understanding of anatomy in both figures and animals can help you tremendously when developing your characters. If you have missed the offered anatomy classes, don't worry there will be ones in the future you can attend.** Materials: (Must bring your own materials - all of these materials can be used for multiple classes) - Sketchbook For Planning (8.5x11 is the preferred size, as a reminder any sketchbook purchased for classes at Inkspitter Studio can be used in multiple classes) - Erasers - white vinyl eraser and white vinyl mechanical eraser - Pencil (mechanical pencil or an HB artists pencil) -Fine Liners (Microns, Faber Castel, Molotov and Copic are all good brands) - Coloring Materials (suggestions are colored pencils or markers or both as the two materials work well together) This is an in person class located at Inkspitter Studio within Lowe Mill A&E in Huntsville, AL. Located directly inside Door 2.

Cancellation Policy

Class/ Camp/ Workshop/Event can be canceled up to 7 days prior to the start of the program. However only 50% of the program fee will be returned to the payment method the program was originally booked. Once the program is a week out no refunds will be available. If a class is missed there are no make up classes available. If a program is canceled by Inkspitter Studio the entire amount of the program will be refunded or can be applied to a different current or future Class/ Camp/ Workshop/ Event. If a program is canceled you will be notified up to 2 days prior to the start date of the program.
