Art Education Group Class Visual Art Foundation 101 Monday's 6 to 7:30 PM (12 hours of class time) Dates of Class: June 3, June 10, June 17, June 24, July 1, July 8, July 15, July 22 Class Cost: $225 **Visual Art Foundation 102 is the sequel to this class, where you will continue your foundational art studies and learn the Principals of Design** Suitable for Middle School, High School and Adults **This class can be taken by anyone ages 12 and up, this includes middle schoolers, high schoolers and adults. At this point the motor skills it takes to draw have been fully developed and middle schoolers, high schoolers and adults can be taught the same set of skills. Everyone is always at a different starting point when it comes to drawing and you see this often in group classes. This class is suitable for beginners within that age range.** Class Description: In this class we will focus on foundational art skills. Specifically you will learn the Elements of Art. These include: Line, Shape, Form, Value, Color, Texture and Space. You will come to understand how each element adds to your drawing, making the piece stronger and stronger. Line will become shape and shape will become form when value is added, form will look more realistic when texture is added... and so on. These are foundational things to understand in art, and by learning these core concepts every piece you make will be stronger. Materials: (Must bring your own materials - all of these materials can be used for multiple classes) - Sketchbook For Planning (8.5x11 is the preferred size or larger. We will not be working any smaller) **As a reminder any sketchbook purchased for classes at Inkspitter Studio can be used in multiple classes** - Erasers - white vinyl eraser and white vinyl mechanical eraser - Artist Pencils (ranging from 2H to 6B minimum) - Colored Pencils (at least a 24 pack for varying color) This is an in person class located at Inkspitter Studio within Lowe Mill A&E in Huntsville, AL. Located directly inside Door 2.

Cancellation Policy

Class/ Camp/ Workshop/Event can be canceled up to 7 days prior to the start of the program. However only 50% of the program fee will be returned to the payment method the program was originally booked. Once the program is a week out no refunds will be available. If a class is missed there are no make up classes available. If a program is canceled by Inkspitter Studio the entire amount of the program will be refunded or can be applied to a different current or future Class/ Camp/ Workshop/ Event. If a program is canceled you will be notified up to 2 days prior to the start date of the program.
